$150 is fairly cheap for a nice dress. Most women have a few in their closet.
The issue shouldn't be that she spent it, it should be that she spent it with donations. There are a ton of smaller races throughout the country that isn't getting any funding and she needs $150k in outfits and a $20k a month makeup artist.
