I voted early on Tuesday and I saw something I've never seen before.. I would have to take a guess that 25% of the people in line to vote were black. Normally you would see a bunch of little old ladies and middle aged people with a few younger & minorities mix in. The simple fact is Obama is getting people to come out and vote whom likely would have never voted.
I was actually surprised at the total difference of what I saw in line compared to the last two elections. Forget all the polls because if what I saw at my election office goes on around the country, well it will be no contest.
The simple fact is all these polls only call people with normal home phones. Most younger or progressive people these days just have cell phones or IP vonage type phones. I know I haven't had a land line in 10 years. None of those people are ever called in these polls, because their names aren't in the phonebook.
From what I've seen around here at least in my country (volusia) in Florida, I don't even think it will be close. Then again my county was the only "blue" country in the state last election.
