So they used known adware companies, that require a valid download, but are still adware.. which in the end steal from the same affiliates that promote the system, which is who is doing the suing.
And interesting case to keep an eye on.
I don't think this is an industry ratio killer, not saying it doesn't cause some issues now and then, but overall it isn't killing from us. Programs aren't stupid, if you take away from others, the others will leave, nobody is keeping Webmasters that do this. Unless the programs do it directly, then its straight theft/shaving. It's like a Webmaster stealing from his own sources of traffic, trades.. it's only a matter of time before they get caught or go bust.
Choose your Programs wisely and do a little research.
