This sort of statement always reminds me of children when they complain about Father's Day and Mother's Day and say "Why isn't there a KIDS DAY??" And then mom and dad say : "Every day is kids day".
I get why some in a despised/opressed/unpopular minority might want a parade as a "fuck you" but even the people that complain about the lack of a straight parade from some innate sense of unfairness at the inability to stand on a float in backless chaps wouldn't actually WANT to be in it if there actually was one I suspect.
Not really worth pointing out I guess, but i've just never "got" that... Imagine if you had that little in the way of personal achievements you had the desire to celebrate the thing you're most proud of - being average. Dunno.. maybe it says something about my ego/vanity.
