Just say it.
I've done it numerous times, and it always goes okay.
I seriously can't fucking stand someone eating with their mouth open and I tell them flat out to shut their mouth.
just say " Hey, Mind chewing with your mouth closed?, cause I'm about to fucking vomit"
it'll be tense for a few seconds... and then, they'll likely chew with their mouth closed in your presence from now on.
my neighbors a fucking pig, and She's the only one I've had to tell more than once, but I think she got the point the second time cause I wasn't so nice about it.
