Looks like I can override the timecode at the deck. Using the internal TC, however, that still doesn't answer why the first timecodes were broken in vegas, and it still doesn't allow me to set the TC to START at 00:59.40:00. They want me to start there so I can roll bars and tones for 20 seconds and then at exactly HOUR ONE they can start recording.
