No, actually- I did read the whole thing - not just a
snippet - and it blew my mind. Marketing is a whole number of things, and branding is one of those things. It's a sound marketing strategy to build brand loyalty, if for no other reason than it costs less to retain an existing customer than it does to acquire a new one.
ANY good marketing plan should include a strategy to entice existing customers to not only stay with your product but to recommend it to others - as well as to draw in new clientele. But establishing a brand identity WILL bring in new clientele - even for a small company. It separates the wheat from the chaff and makes you stand out amongst your competition.
