I think the problem is Ohio (and some other states) need to have proper gun storage laws. Here in Canada the minimum requirements for storage of a shotgun or rifle is a trigger lock, with the ammo stored separately. If you don't have a trigger lock on it, then it has to be in a locked cabinet. I personally have a gun safe.
Guns are great, but they need to be kept out of little kid's hands until they can be taught how to use them safely.
