I live here in Chicago so it's on all the news.

I can't believe they didn't allow him on the Senate floor. The secretary of state has no authority to overrule a legal appointment by the Governor.

But the basis of the Governer's problem is that he was trying to sell a political appointment. Do people really think this doesn't happen. When Hillary met with Obama after she lost the nomination and a day after started campaigning for him, obviously a deal was made to offer her a cabinet appointment. What's the difference? It's called politics. Blago just was too outspoken about it.

Also, Blago never committed any crime. He was a desperate man who was rambling ideas during a phone call. That's not illegal, at least not yet in America. That's not even conspiracy to commit a crime if you are just talking about it.

The guy is a total crook and piece of shit, but he never broke the law or even came close. That's why the prosecutor asked for an extension to bring an indictment. Not because the case is so complex, but because they don't have enough yet.
