I see.. the 1 contest only rule must have been an old rule. The current rules say 'no more than 3 contests at a time'. But I've seen more than 3 contests at a time on the 1st page...
It's sort of like that rule that says sigs should have no more that 3 lines of default size and color text, yet you see tons of sigs with big fonts and in every color of the rainbow.
