And therein lies the problem. Cruel and unusual punishment (public naming and shaming) is meted out without someone being allowed a fair trial. No judge or jury decides whether the punishment is deserved or not. The entertainment industry does.

And honestly, who would want the entertainment industry to take over even the slightest bit of the judicial system?
