As far as beers... There are 2 brands I absolutely love.

*Dogfish Head ~ Midas Golden Touch Elixir. The oldest known beer recipe in the world, found in king midas' tomb. A mix of a Mead and traditional beer. It's kinda sweet, very good stuff. (9.5% alcohol, kinda strong for beer) $12/4pack

*Chimay, I love the Grande Reserve "Bleu" very rich full flavored beer. $13/750ml Corked bottle.

Besides that, I really love a classic American drink: Whiskey Sour. Knobb Creek is really nice, Jim Bean has a nice Oak flavor from the barrel, and Makers Mark is nice a smoove.

Dogfish Heads 90 and 120 minute IPA are supposed to be damn good as well, and pretty strong for beer.

*EDIT* Sorry, I don't drink when I go out... I'm really into craft micro brews and fine liquor... That shit doesn't exist at bars. I don't want some fucking lawnmower beer (Bud / Coors etc etc). I do a lot of cooking myself as well.

I don't like disappointing alcohol, or wines under 90pts.
Dogfish Head has the best beers. You have to try out there Palo Santo Marron. It's awesome.
