Whereas Winnipeg is a classic hockey town with a long history of the game. Many of the game's greatest players are from Manitoba... Bobby Clark, Billy Mosienko, Ed Belfour, Bryan Dennis and Ron Hextall, Terry Sawchuk to name a few.
Too bad there's still a question of whether or not we can support an NHL team. We did so for a lot of years back in the day, and we now have a better arena.
I highly doubt they'll decide to move them back here though. Too bad though, Winnipeg IS hockey, as much as anywhere in Canada. It's a disgrace that we don't have a team.
