As a young kid I had an interest in the art and practice of Falconry.
There was a man in my neighborhood that had a Red tailed hawk and he took me under his wing ( pun intended ) and got me started in the right direction. I also bought several books and searched the library to learn everything I could. It was fascinating to me.
My first and only bird was a Kestrel Falcon like the ones pictured here. While I was successful in training the bird to hunt, we never had a successful hunt. Eventually I moved on to other interests.
