I don't think it's hurt the scene financially. People still go to clubs, just for different reasons. Clubs always have high turn-around. In most cities, no matter how popular a club is, they still never last more than a few years. A new one always replaces it though, so I think the 'scene' is here to stay no matter how big idating gets.
