chase has fucked with me too and I also had a wamu card that became chase. i had sent a payment to wamu and learned that chase had taken over. i tried logging in via online and could not as the transfer was taking longer than expected of wamu to chase. i called chase and asked about my payment and they reassured me online would work soon and my payment via the mail would reach them anyways. i kept trying to get access online and it would not work. i finally called them up again and discovered my account was now deliquent and my apr was raised. fought with them over the payment which did not reach them until a couple weeks latter. i would cancel but do not want hit to my score so i just do not use them anymore. i hate chase.
btw you said debit card in your rant and i think you meant credit right?
