I think that it was a moderate cycle....
Also.... I would not call my self a recreational user as you can see that I trained hard, my training partner actually went and competed on stage. I have competed in weight lifting.... My social circle was just all hardcore people at the time so naturally had the dedication and motivation be able to train as hard as I did.
Put it this way, I was not in the gym only training arms and chest (now thats a recreational guy)!

I have been training since the age of 16 until I turned 26 and have been only going a little bit for the last three years because I wanted a change and now am ready to go back properly but naturally this time (well maybe creatine and things like that)
