You didn't tell many disadvantages of Godaddy, just one.
I've never told Godaddy is best registrar. It's just No.1 in numbers so shit happens more often there. Shit happens also at Moniker and Moniker is known to be secure registrar.
Godaddy got fair prices for some TLDs.
Moniker got fair prices for some TLDs and is reliable and quite secure
Dynadot got good prices for some TLDs, they also got tasting
Name got good prices for some TLDs but renewals are more expensive.
Crap namecheap got absolutelly nothing, they've got higher prices and crap renewal policy.
