Any ideas? Maybe 10 or 20 small guys agree to a tube with 30 second clips, run by one trusted tech, to get eyes on the collective site pool?
Maybe we can set up small regional think tanks, depending upon where you are located?
I am located in northern NJ, just 25 minutes outside of NYC. I would be open to hosting a small group here once every week or two, for drinks and productive collaborations for example.
Anyone interested?
Any other ideas?
I am certain 5 or 10 one or two person operations working together somehow, would be much more productive and beneficial for everyone involved, rather than to continue as islands onto ourselves.

It's a nice thought. One that has been mentioned and tried to some extent for various different issues over the years... obscenity laws, 2257, acacia, dot xxx, etc... there has been several issues over the years. The only one that anyone really worked on together was acaci and that was mainly the "big guys" footing the bill. Other than that most people donated to the FSC and hoped they would fix most of the problems. Stolen content is just another issue in a long list of things that most of the people here will never work together on. People either make money from it, aren't affected that much by it, are lazy and don't care, or just don't know what to do. Trying to get 2 people to see something exactly the same is a challenge, trying to get 5 - 10 is almost impossible.
For a big issue to be solved the only chance that would ever have of happening is for the big guys to put their money on the table, and for them to try to unite everyone together. Companies like playboy instead of sking the site with illegal tubes actually trying to do something about it, other companies like ccbill, big porn companies and hosting companies, etc...
For the "smaller guys" it would be good for you to work together in general for your own benefit. If you are good with programming find someone who needs programming work who is good at design, etc... work together as a team. Or if you are starting out with SEO work find a couple other people at your experience level and help each other out. That is the best way for you to work together with others. Anything else is going to be a waste of your time.
