Yes and no. Omega 3 - long chain molecule from animal souces is very, very good for you. and is probably one* of the next big things in treating heart disease risk. But plant sourced Omega 3 is a different short chain molecule that your body can't process and is therefore virtually useless.
Omega 6 is in excess in almost everyones diet and also isn't good for you (as it competes with the Omega 3)
Omega 6 is made in your body, therefore no need.
