I get no kick out of killing animals, but have done it previously - on a very small scale - chickens for food, and even worse, baby chickens w/ deformaties etc (when you raise them in an incubator, the responsibility falls on you, cos the mother / clutch won't do it naturally)

Truly not a nice experience, but I think to know how to hunt / kill / clean / prepare / store / eat game would be a very useful skill to have - no just for 'survival' - but also to understand the food process.
