A 27-year-old man and his 22-year-old girlfriend face charges for robbing a Wendy's restaurant in Dearborn Heights, where the man's mother worked as a manager.
WDIV reports that Jason Zacchi and Amanda Yost were arraigned on Monday. Police say that while going through the drive-through, Zacchi threatened employees with a sawed-off shotgun while Yost was at the wheel.
Zacchi's mother heard what was going on, and asked "what the hell are you doing" when she approached the window. She later helped police arrest him.
Zacchi, whose MySpace page lists his current mood as "murderer" and features a picture of him posing with an ankle tether, has a bond set at $100,000 while Yost's bond is set at $50,000.
