Upsets me to no end when I hear guys brag about hookers - I'd rather brag about having a decent wife or GF who makes love for love and not for the love of money.

Prostitution from my understanding is either forced through pimps - economy - mental issues or drug related. I do not support the legalization because for all that is said - our society is going down the tubes over lack of morality and ethics. Scream at me all you want but allowing someone to do whatever they want to do is wrong. Guidelines need to be put in place so we can co-exist together. We have a responsibility to our future generations to lay the foundation for a positive society rather than a demoralized one.
What someone wants to do is their private business -- as long as everyone is a consenting adult. The problem with applying morality to personal and private behavior, is that most morality originates from religions doctrine. I do not know about you, but I do not want to be lectured or governed by anyone who believes in a magical and imaginary wizard running the entire universe.

Now regarding prostitution and drugs -- the reason most women who have a drug problem get involved in prostitution is because they need money. They are then condemned as a criminal for having a clinical dependency and for needed the money for supply that dependency. If society were smart enough to say, hey -- instead of buying your drugs from drug dealers, we will give you your drugs for free, then society would be spared the following; needing to investigate drug crimes, needing to prosecute drug offenders, needing to incarcerate drug offenders, needing to waste literally billions of dollars on fighting drug wars they cannot win, and dealing with drug addicts as people having a medical condition that needs treatment, as opposed to a criminal to be prosecuted.

The same goes for property crime. If I have a drug problem, the only reason I am stealing cars, etc. is to get money for drugs. If the drugs are free -- then there is no need to steal cars.
