but back to my question of 'where were you (politically), when the patriot act was created'
Back then, I was a republican, but because of Bush policies and the fact I really can't think of any accomplishments of his, I changed to an independent. I still tend to be conservative, I believe that the founding fathers didn't want the government to take over, which is a libertarian view, I believe we should have a balanced budget that will keep us from borrowing money from foreign countries. I think the lawyers have fucked up health-care with all the huge settlements they have got, most dem politicians are lawyers.
I think we should have attacked afghanistan, but trying to stay there is a mistake, USSR tried it and failed, I don't think we have any business in Iraq.
I have a daughter in the military and I'm proud of my own service record. I've done and seen things that few people will get to do in there life times because of it.
I believe we should help out other countries, but need to focus on our own problems and solve them before others.

And I sure as HELL think that terrorists shouldn't get a civilian trial, they should have been executed by now. That would have solved the whole gitmo thing

Carbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants
think about that
