The reporter has said he does not support us being in Afghanistan and that he thought the piece was a success in that, it brings attention to Afghanistan. Which may also be why McChrystal did what he did. He's not a stupid man, but he either did this to draw attention, or he had a major brain fart.
And it worked. All questions are now pointing to: What the fuck are we still doing there 9 years later? What is the end goal here?
