You do realize that the name has nothing to do with being gramatically correct, right? iPhone, visually, looks "cooler" than IPhone. Using a small i is a very common thing when it comes to mobile related products.. Using a capital I would just be stupid. As I already mentioned iPhone or any other Apple product that begins with i looks better visually.
"I" is pronouced the same fucking way whether it's "i" or "I". I guess by your logic if the I is not capatilized it's sounds like another letter? i, I, eye.. All the damn same. Maybe they should have named it eyePhone. lol
