My company purchased roughly 500 .co domains all owned mainstream trademarks. We then price them under 1k. Most fortune 500 companies would rather just spend 1k to acquire branded domains than use the legal system to acquire them. Out of the 500 we will sell between 50-100 and the rest we will be forced to hand over.

I'd figure most of them already have lawyers on their payroll, so why wouldn't they use the resources? Certainly wouldn't be cheaper.
