I'll admit 'glorifying' is a strong word and this movie technically isn't doing such, but it is in a widely distributed film for profit.
Fact is this is not the only brutal scene in this movie. It focuses on the actual violence against women quite heavily. They do not need to enact in full a simulated beating of a woman. No film should do this.
Its just my personal opinion that I feel quite strongly about that such depictions shouldn't be allowed on film. I know others feel differently but hey, that's what makes us all individual.
