I happen to be the "religious right", but I also disagree with homosexuality for practical purposes, not religious ones because that's not my place, and I'm in favor of "traditional families". One would have to be a moron to claim homosexuality is as natural as heterosexuality. However, I would support equal rights for homosexuals in terms of civil partnerships, not marriages. If they gave homosexuals the rights in partnerships that heterosexual couples have in marriages, the whole "marriage" talk can die down.
Also, I don't oppose DADT but at the same time I give credit to anyone who wants to fight for their country, regardless of their sexual orientation. But you have to understand that it is up to the soldiers that are currently fighting. If they genuinely feel insecure around homosexuals (and that's fine), then the policy shouldn't change. If the policy WERE to change, then drill sergeants would need to be more strict with who they allow, and that's capable soldiers.
