This is a very unique situation Mike ...

and as much as the IRS does not like my telling you this -- as a registered CMA, I can tell you, that if there is no paper to prove you were actually PAID this money, then the government cannot expect you to pay taxes on it.

You do not owe any taxes on earnings that you have "not yet been paid ..."

You may have earned $XXXX.XX with "sponsor A" ... but until Uncle Sam can verify you were actually paid this money (IE: it was deposited into your account), you are not liable for the taxes on it.

The same way that some people defer income over a couple years to reduce a large tax burden ...
