I've never had a problem on a single host / IP, especially with such simple stuff. I ran a lot of local websites for my businesses and friends businesses in town and got them all to #1 for their respective terms. I've run several of these type of sites on a single shared host and don't see how I could improve much on rankings since it's so easy to get to #1. Some here say otherwise so I guess test test test eventually.
Also, this isn't a standard 3 to 20 page niche site you make and leave. On this product type alone there are probably tens / hundreds of thousands of things you could post about.
