It's kind of cute watching you grow up and go through things like political outrage and now Religious turmoil.
I can't wait until you get a little farther with Human Sciences and start to realize that organized religion is pretty much required to advance a society past savage tribalism (see Africa). Religion of some sort develops in all sufficiently advanced societies independently of outside influences. Many people are starting to believe that it is hard wired in to us as an evolutionary tool. I don't want to get too far ahead of your Social Studies class though so I'll stop now.
