I don't get this even from a political standpoint
Why try to appeal to the NRA / hunting folk? You're already like Jesus to those people, or at least Jesus's younger retarded sister.
Why not be try to appeal to the undecideds by doing some "I'm really not as dumb as people think I am" work?
