It would be a great start. I don't think anyone thinks they will ever be able to allow user uploads and keep all stolen content off. But if they just implemented the type of policies YouTube has to discourage it then that would go a long way. Just an honest effort is all that many of us are asking for. That's it. I'm not asking that they shut it all down, stop user uploads and open a text based TGP here.
Just some reasonable policies.
Who knows. They are pretty big. Maybe if they did it and used their clout they could get some of the worst offenders shut down by cutting off their revenue stream. I don't think they'll do it. Honestly I believe they WANT to put 90% of the guys here out of business and they know full well what they are doing. But maybe I'm wrong, eh?
