That's almost like reporting that your weed was stolen.
People who think that getting an ear bit causes more permanent damage than
getting knocked complete out with a broken eye socket are not thinking clearly.
And why should law enforcement give a shit about an ear being bit when he's already
beat people unconscious?

I wasn't really disagreeing with you. I don't think he should have been jailed for biting an ear in a boxing match, as retarded as it was.
As with the following info, I'm not disputing anyone's side, just putting forth more details about things mentioned:

Then there was the evidence regarding Rosey Grier.
Following Simpson's arrest, Grier had been a regular visitor at the Los Angeles County Jail. A giant, African-American former NFL defensive lineman, Grier had become an ordained minister.
On November 13th, 1994, a Sunday afternoon at about 4:30 p.m., he and Simpson were talking by telephone, separated by a glass partition. A deputy called Jeff Stuart was sitting close by and heard Simpson yell, and slam down his telephone, shouting: "I didn't mean to do it. I'm sorry." Grier leaned forward and yelled back: "O.J., you gotta come clean. You gotta tell somebody!"
Simpson then buried his face in his hands, looking distraught. They talked for another few minutes and then Grier left.
Although both Stuart and Grier gave testimony to Judge Ito regarding the overheard conversation, and the judge ruled that Simpson had waived any right to "clergyman-penitent privilege," he nevertheless disallowed the prosecution from presenting the guard's testimony.

Other articles state that OJ never confessed because he thought they were being "bugged," and that the only thing him a Grier discussed was their love of Jesus.

Alleged confession
Mike Gilbert, a memorabilia dealer and former agent and friend of Simpson, wrote a book titled How I Helped O.J. Get Away with Murder: The Shocking Inside Story of Violence, Loyalty, Regret and Remorse. He states that Simpson had smoked marijuana, took a sleeping pill and was drinking beer when he allegedly confided at his Brentwood home weeks after his trial what happened the night of June 12, 1994. According to Gilbert, Simpson said, "If she hadn't opened that door with a knife in her hand...she'd still be alive."[24] Gilbert claimed Simpson had confessed. However, Simpson's current lawyer, Yale Galanter, said none of Gilbert's claims are true and that Gilbert is "a delusional drug addict who needs money. He has fallen on very hard times. He is in trouble with the Internal Revenue Service."[24]
