There was major police fuck ups in the original trial and it's no wonder OJ was cleared because of it.
Detective Phillip Van attar stopping by OJ's and getting a blood sample and a pair of shoes from OJ as evidence. Then putting them in the trunk of his car and waiting until the next day to check them into the evidence locker.
Or how about when criminalist Dennis Fung testified more than once very specifically about how many bags and boxes of evidence were removed from OJ's house and the exact contents of each. Then the defense attorney's spot him carrying out more bags than he'd testified on a local news clip seen from their hotel room and totally busting him with it on the stand. Fung couldnt answer how or why he miscounted or what was in those other bags labeled as evidence clearly on the news clip. WTF.
Lots of serious screw ups by police and investigators on that case the whole way. If you're on a jury, how do you deal with bloody foorprints appearing on a crime scene after it's taped off? How do you deal with DNA evidence (no matter WHAT it shows) once you hear that a cop took a sample of the accused's blood home in his car trunk with a pair of the accused shoes? A seasoned veteran detective no less? I mean shit.
