Most sites takedown stuff upon receipt of a letter with lawyer's letterhead. They don't seem to do that. I'm not aware of any company getting a regular complaint removed. That is why when I get scammed by anyone they are the first ones I go to after making sure it's no misunderstanding and giving some time for a remedy.

Maybe 5 or 6 years ago a company I worked for was actually contacted by the site owner and solicited for $25k to make it disappear, but I can't say for certain what that entailed. They have great search engine placement and have additional duplicate content sites that don't seem to get penalized such as pissedconsumer.com and badbusinessbureau.com
