I hope to meet up with you while you're here.
The weather should be back to normal by the time you're here. We're getting hit with rain and cold everywhere. Parts of Thailand are seeing the worst floods EVER. :-( I'm actually sitting here with my windows open and I'm in a jacket and pants. My usually attire is shorts and a t-shirt. The locals are huddled around fires.
As someone else already said, do not underestimate the sun here, especially in Phuket. Protect your pale white Euro skin or you will burn unlike anything you've ever seen in about 15 or 20 minutes, even under a cloudy sky. Don't forget your ears, top of head, back of neck, tops of hands and tops of feet.
Oh... and it's only gay if you make eye contact. So just make sure to keep the ladyboys in doggy, don't do a reach around, and it's all good.
