Love it or hate it (as I do), the US government has more say in what happens on, and to the Internet than any other country.
It will be interesting to see how some of the changes and focuses will shape the Internet going forward.
I've also read some very interesting things lately in regards to ICANN and the US Government. They've certainly placed themselves squarely into the hot seat as of late.
