Wow these pictures are cool! They really want to make me get the hell away from my computers and travel some. Good for you, BD - glad to see someone getting some sunshine and fresh air.
Last summer I was in Las Vegas and went boating and swimming in Lake Meade, right near the hoover dam. If you get a chance to do this while you're there, try it. Being in the water surrounded by those huge red rocks make you feel like you're swimming on Mars or something - feels very alien!
