I thought they had a bug fix for this? I am still using WMP 7.1 so things usually work.
Are your .wmv files embedded? Or do your surfers click on a link directly to the .wmv file?
I know .mpg files will play if they are embedded. If you link directly to the file, it asks for you username/password.
Try embedding the clips, are tell your users to right click/save as to see the files.
