Keep visitor and members from downloading content?...

This is my first post on GFY (other than a post in the services offered area). For context, I'm an adult producer, but also a creative person by trade. I'm NOT an experienced developer, though I did develop my own site. Because of my background, I can pick up web development pretty easily, but I'm not knowledgable - just to set it up.

The issue: For reasons of model privacy, I blocked my site from Ontario (where the models from my site live) after a local escort forum got wind of my site (some of the models on my site also escort). Many were just excited to know the girls they've seen do some porn, but a whole whack of trolls just went off on the models, harassing them, posting photos of them on the board, some posting their actual names and addresses ...it was brutal. They were basically attacking me through the girls, and some just being trolls, I'd imagine. Anyway ...my question is about javascript. I know it's not a truly secure way to keep people off your site or from downloading, but it was the only way I knew of at the time. I quickly discovered the principal of internet security: you can only block the people you're not concerned about - you can't block the ones you are.

That said, and now that the urgency is gone (the girls were harassed so much, most of them won't do any more videos - trolls win, I guess), for future such situations, can someone suggest the best (if any) way to keep people from ripping content from a site? I know there are javascript blockers, and download helpers - is there a method to successfully block such browsing techniques?

Thanks...
Calvin
