The thing that sucked most with Katrina when the power went out was no A/C. When it's 100 out side and you have no a/c no fans, nothing, it is hot as fuck.
I bet they going to have a lot of fires from people using candles.

Last year when Bangkok had all the political fighting and shut down a portion of the city, I went into the "shut off" area at night on a bike, which was a HUGE area. Many city blocks in this huge city, just black. No power, no street lights, no cars lights, nothing. It was spooky. And everyone kept their lights off as they drove through on bikes or walked through in darkness, because gunmen were taking pot shots at people with lights. It was spooky shit. Like you just rolled into hell or something.
