The pageant concept alone is pretty shitty, but made even worse when the judges allow these kids to wear fake everything to make them look like little adults- padding the boobs and butt seems like a logical progression in that sick sad world.
I saw a documentary on it in the past. They put these little kids in fake hair, fake eyelashes, even fake teeth- they call them flippers and they go over the kids existing teeth to give them the appearance of a full set of adult teeth. IMO it really amps up the creepy factor. It seems to be less about what the kid actually looks like and more about who can cover their child in the most prosthetics and add ons. The children in these competitions are so covered in fake that they no longer resemble children. From what I've seen it seems pretty obvious they are sexualizing these little girls.
There's just something severely broken about that whole industry.
