True -- I did the sums on dental versus paying cash and it's cheaper to pay cash if you brush every day. I recently had an old filling replaced - my dentist knocks off 15% if you pay cash so out the door it was like $200 or so.
I'm not sure why the dental field hasn't suffered the massive price inflation of other medical. Maybe because at the end of the day teeth are just teeth?
