The truth of the matter is, life isn't fair. I'm sorry but it's just not. In the end the red carpet isn't for you to feel good about yourself, it's about a recorded produced show for the media and more importantly for a side deal they made with someone like Showtime. That's BIG bucks and they want the pretty faces in the fancy dresses. Period. If you aren't that then you don't care to the producers of the show.

As far as the awards go, they forgot to announce the winner of the female performer of the year, this year. Seriously.

The show itself wasn't really run all that well and complaining like you have, using words like "rape" only make you sound like a sore loser.

I can remember a time some guy was bitching up a storm before because his wife never even got nominated for awards. She wasn't in a single movie that year mind you and she's almost unheard of minus a very niche specific site she runs, which given does have a large cult following, but again she was not in a single DVD that entire previous year nor did she work for a single company like Naughty America or anything that year. So what did he exact? That AVN and XBIZ should roll out the red carpet for some random chick that wasn't even on their radar because he said so?

I never forgot that guy and his wife and now every time I hear anyone complain about the awards I think of him.

Go out there and star in a movie that sells 20,000 DVDs this year and then you'll get noticed. Trust me. You'll get noticed.

It's not about your genre, it's about you or the fact that in the scheme of things your sales figures mean nothing. If all of his means so much and you want these awards then go make those movies, get those kind of sales figures and watch how fast things change for you. Hell, get half of those sales figures per DVD and you'll be a super star in the industry.
