I did have a chuckle on that!
So, you get a late answer....
I love jw cos of its simplicity. I hate fp cos it has too many includes. Because of FP's includes, it is simple, but for what I do, it ends up complicated - for example, to have a secure token, I have to edit the rtmp plugin. To have overlays, I have to hack the source. To have the moving custom string, I have to hack the core + the ???? forget what it's called right off hand. In jw, I simply hack max 3 lines of code.
Plus - and this is my big gripe, a securely encrypted player - those plugins I mentioned, cannot be encrypted or else the source cannot include them correctly.
So, yes, you can have a player that does those things, but with more headache to me, and less security to you.
For that, I fully recommend JW.
Then again.... FP allows me to buy a license to distribute, whereas JW forces you to buy....
bleh.
