It was a secret because when they were developing the land the bulldozer pushed up a bunch of old bones later to find they were Indian bones as it was never mentioned again because we'd have to surrender the land.

That house was nothing, but chaos as my sisters refused to sleep upstairs because they heard voices as there was always persistent negativity. You could actually see people's personalities change when they came in the house as some would just feel ill all of a sudden.

I just had two experiences as the first was when home during lunch I felt something put their hand on my shoulder when I was home alone. It freaked me out so bad, I turned the stove off and left the house.

The second was the middle of the night i'd hear footsteps in the front of my door as the sound circled the upstairs bedroom doors. I first thought it was my older sister trying to spy and on me and tell my parents I was sneaking out. So one night I flung open the door to scare the shit out of her only to see a huge very dark shadow standing in the doorway. I immediately shut the door and would never open it again when I heard these sounds at night.

It was odd because we all knew something was going on, but rarely would talk in detail about it because back then you didn't talk about those things. We eventually sold the house as it went through several owners and stood empty for years.
Funny how "ghosts" always appear in old houses at night when people were kids and never just during the day in the middle of a busy shopping street when you are an adult.
Think about it.
