Serious reply? I'm straight. I've shot a shit-ton of gay content over the course of many many years and sold thousands of memberships... and maintained a very consistent business shooting content for major gay websites. The differentiating factor is "are you a photographer that gives a shit?" Not "are you a fan of the niche?"

Any photographer who knows anything about lighting and composition can shoot any niche if they know what the niche is about, and be very very successful.

Now, whether they WANT to do it... that's another factor entirely.
