It's not the ad networks themselves but the links-to they present. Or the iframes those tubes put up leading to sites with links to sites that have crapware.

Most of the ad networks use scripts that aren't necessarily crawlable by browser/bots, contextual adspots being what they are usually.

For some reason it's the frames and probably hardlinks on the site...

Sometimes it's harmless or pointless as a warning, sometimes it's very accurate and potentially deadly, especially if your anti-virus software sucks or isn't up to date...

I'm a little suicidal and often click on the "Go to site anyway" link or whatever - and then my AVG pops up its butterfly net notification and tells me it caught a fucker...
